Aarhus --> Hamburg --> Frankfurt
And for you english-speaking people:
(Our trip to Sydney was a bit exiting.
We started the trip at 7.56 Tuesday june 28th. We took the train from Aarhus to Hamburg. In Hamburg we took a train to Frankfurt Airport and arrived at 18-ish. We were glad that the trip had been so easy, but we were a bit worried about Mais visa.)

Frankfurt --> Berlin
(When we tried to check in at 8 pm, we found out that Mais visa haden't gone through. They told us that we should go to the Australian Embassy in Berlin, so they booked us for the flight the next day. We rented a Opel Corsa at Hertz (100€ + fuel) and at 10 pm, we drove to Berlin (about 1200 km))
(At 4 am ish june 29th (70 km outside Berlin), we stopped to get some food and some rest. We slept for about two hours in the worlds warmest car without aircontition in 30 degrees. We woke up and continued our trip. We drove all the way through Berlin to the embassy without problems and no detours!)
So far so good...
(At the embassy they told us that they couldn't help Mai. But they gave us an email-adress. We found an internet-café and wrote an email to Australia, but the adress didn't work. We went back to the embassy and asked them about alternatives. They said that we could go back to the airport and Mai could buy a touristvisa and change that to a studentvisa in Australia. So we drove back to Frankfurt........)

Frankfurt lufthavn igen (the airport again)
(When we returned the car we got a big "respect" from the guys who received it, because of our trip in less than 24 hours. All the helpfull people recognized us when we arrived to the airport. May bought her touristvisa and we checked our baggage. And got acces to the VIP-lounge, with free drinks, food and internet - i think they felt sorry for us at the airport.)

I VIP loungen |
(The people in the lounge looked weird at us when we came in. Maybee because we didn't look like people that belonged in a VIP-lounge, or smelled like it...!)
I flyet (in the plane)
Frankfurt --> Singapore --> Sydney
(We flew from Frankfurt at 11.50 pm june 29th. We landed in Singapore june 30th and flew on to Sydney. We landed in Sydney at 5 am july 1th (australian time)) |
(We checked in at a hostel in Kings Cross in Sydney - Backpackers Headquarters. We got a room with six bunk beds. There lived four other people there - so there was no privatelife at all!
The room was moist and dark. The other four had been there for about a half year, so there clothes was everywhere. One of the guys had a girl home with him one night, apparently he didn't care that there was other people in the room...
The breakfast was really bad - white bread with peanutbutter or corn flakes with fat milk)
